Brothers are Forever

This March I got to hang out with a couple of great families and capture the intricities of their relationship. The first of these were the Hill brothers. These great boys were getting their pictures taken in honor of their upcoming birthdays. While 3 years apart their actual birthdays are separated by less than a week. The elder was celebrating not only his 16th birthday but also his brand new driving permit. The younger was just crossing over into the threshold of being a teenager, 13. Big important birthdays in the lives of young men. Of course dealing with teenage boys was fraught with a few unusual problems, god forbid you ask them to touch at all, and looking at each other, no way. So as usual I wanted to share my five favorite pictures from their shoot.
This picture is perfect in so many ways, the light almost glows around him and you can see his reflection in the sunroof of his car.

This is one of my absolute favorite pictures of all time. Everything just seems to fit perfectly.

This was the older brother's favorite picture. What a car, right.

This was the younger brother's favorite picture.

I love this set-up. I know the boys, being boys, probably don't like the whole thing very much, but their mother sure did.
